Albany Museum through its Education Department and Mobile Services once again brought smiles and relief during Mandela Day. The HOD of the Education Department Mrs Nozipho Madinda invited Sakhingomso pre-school, Shaw hall, NV Cewu primary and Samuel Ntsiko Primary. Mandela has spent 27 years in prison fighting for freedom for all and dedicated 67 years of his life in the struggle for humanity.Such change no matter how little it is does not really need money, but skills and innovation especially for educators and learners.
The Albany Museum staff presented topics about their departments. The departments such as Geology, Entomology, History, Visitors Service, Fresh Water Invertebrates and Anthropology. The motivational speaker for the day was Mr Sizwe Bethela the deputy chief education specialist (DCES) of the department of education. He emphasized on changing the lives of the people in our communities. Songs and poems about Mandela everyone singing and clapping endlessly.
